The Knowledge Management Laboratory (KML) is a sandbox facility for advanced Information Technology (IT) research and experimentation. It was established to facilitate research collaborations between IT organizations (academic, commercial, and government) and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) on advanced IT concepts, such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Business Process Management (BPM), net-centric deployment, information-centric representation, and collaborative software agents.
