Like its parent organization, the Collaborative Agent Design Research Center (CADRC), KML supports research that has a practical, real-world orientation. In the case of KML, this practical orientation is centered on the technological needs of the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), as this organization transitions from a disparate data-processing systems infrastructure to an information-centric, knowledge management environment.
